All About Us!Southgate Compton is a friendly, family-orientated local cricket club, much like village clubs of old. We play league, friendly and juniors cricket and are based in Cockfosters, on the borders of Hertfordshire and Middlesex. The clubhouse, which includes a bar, changing and catering facilities, is in Chalk Lane within an easy walk of Cockfosters tube station. We currently run one Saturday side who play in the Saracens Hertfordshire League. Our team is a mix of more experienced players and the youth that comes through our juniors set up, currently playing in division 8E as of 2024. On Sundays we run a regular friendly side with a focus on developing players, whilst also competing in the league T20 Cup.
We provide an extensive coaching and training programme for our Juniors, aged 8 to 15. This starts with indoor training in the spring, before moving on to Monday night sessions during the season. Our Under 11s, Under 13s and Under 15s play in the Middlesex Juniors Leagues and Cups. We are a very social club, with events organised regularly at the clubhouse such as quizzes, games nights and barbecues. The annual awards night is held in the autumn. |
